About Us

The Lord Rana Edu City is located at Sanghol which is 45 kms from Chandigarh on the Chandigarh Ludhiana Highway. This small town has great historical importance.

The City offers a range of Educational Institutes covering various disciplines, in graduate & post graduate courses and also houses a Primary & Higher Secondary School. It also offers two skills training Institutes. Overall 2600 students study here.

The Lord Rana Edu City, a synonym of excellence in education, affiliated with UGC NAAC ‘A’ Grade accredited Punjabi University, Patiala, (India) and its professional courses and programmes approved by AICTE and NCTE, New Delhi is committed to the all round educational growth and personality development of rural youth, with special emphasis on girl child and those coming from disadvantaged and under-privileged sections of society. Its underlying ideology for excellence is panchmukhi shiksha, evolved during the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation through experimentation to create balance among the five necessary dimensions of education- physical, practical, aesthetic, moral and intellectual, and, the modern scientific education.
Its integrated campus combines the modern scientific knowledge with the ancient knowledge base and wisdom, through its dedicated and conscientious faculty to achieve higher and higher in teaching-learning, explorations and research to build a knowledge base by linking it with the intellectual and cultural heritage of Indian society.

    Dr. Satish K. Sharma M. A., M. Phil., & Ph. D. in Sociology (Panjab University, Chandigarh). Dr. Sharma served as Social Scientist at WHO Collaborating Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh; Assistant Professor of Sociology at M. S. University, Baroda; UGC Research Fellow, UGC Research Associate, UNFPA Project Fellow & Assistant Professor of Sociology at Panjab University, Chandigarh; Associate Professor & Professor of Sociology, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Director Population Research Centre, Director Canadian Studies Development Programme & Director Institute of Tribal Studies at H. P.     Prof Thomas G. Fraser MBE is Emeritus Professor of History at Ulster University, United Kingdom, and former Provost of its Magee campus. A graduate of the University of Glasgow (MA in Mediaeval and Modern History, Ewing Prize) and the London School of Economics (PhD in International History), in 1983-1984 he was Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at Indiana University South Bend, USA.

    Brian Scott

    Advisor (Institute of Conflict Studies)

    A graduate of Harvard’s Graduate School of Business and Administration, Dr Brian Scott has authored numerous management case studies for its MBA programme and undertaken research projects for the Carnegie and Rockfeller foundations. He had an extensive business career as a senior manager in Europe, the US, Central America and the Caribbean before joining Oxfam Ireland in 1997 where he led the de-merger from Oxfam UK and created an organisation to serve both Belfast and Dublin.
